Pulsworks Open House - Live vs. Recorded Demonstration

Open House Thursday May 4 Pulsworks Audio Arts will be hosting a special Open House on Thursday May 4, 2023 from 10:00 AM-10:00 PM, although people will stay much later and you are welcome to stay too! Over the course of the day people will come together to celebrate and enjoy wonderful music and friendship with those who enjoy the same. The event will feature new products from Focal and Naim Audio like the Naim 200 series preamp/streamer & power amp; the Focal Vestia and Theva series speakers. Five Focal/Naim systems will performing in various audio rooms—as well as the Focal headphones powered by Naim in the headphone room—and range from less than $10,000 to $250,000. Manufacturing reps Francois Cauchon and Marvin Woycenko will be on hand to demonstrate various products and provide details about many items throughout the store. There will be many very special offers available from Focal and Naim Audio. These incredible discounts will be available only during the Open House and until May 6th.

Live vs. Recorded Demonstration   Have you ever wanted to be a “fly on the wall” in a recording studio? We get requests all the time from people who would love to experience what it is like in a real recording studio. During the Open House in the evening, we are offering the opportunity of a life-time! We are going to make a live recording—and we are going to do it in a unique way. A limited number of people will be able to sit in on the recording as a live audience in front of the musicians as they perform and are recorded. The artists and audience will then be able to join the recording engineer in the Control Room to experience what happens in post-production. Once the final mix is prepared the artists and audience will then move into the Concert Hall in the store to experience the recording on a $250,000 Focal/Naim music system. Playback will be done with both digital master and analogue master tape. If you have ever wondered what the difference between analogue and digital would sound like from the same source material here is your opportunity! As seating is very limited we are asking that participants commit to the entire studio process—about 1.5 hours in total.
